Where to begin...  I first heard about the Buddy Walk when my sister called in 2005 and wanted to participate. That year, they were asking for young artists to submit drawings for the shirts.   Well, my Bryan, then 15, submitted his drawing, and it was selected. I received the voice message at work and was sobbing.  Imagine the look on Bryan's face when we got to the Buddy Walk and there was his drawing "Cow about a Walk" on everyone's shirts.  He was so proud! Ever since, there have been people wearing the shirt at other walks, and he makes it a point  to say, "that's me!"

He also won an award with the local paper that year for helping educate the community on people with disabilities. How proud I am of Bryan. He will be 19 in February. He will graduate High School next year.

At first, I was the teacher and my son the student. Somewhere along the way, not sure when...  I became the student and he became the teacher... To see the world through his eyes...

Thanks for letting me share.
