Undergraduate Scholarship Program for General Education (K-12) - A renewable academic scholarship of $1,000 for students enrolled in a 4 year college in the state of Ohio and intending to become educators in the general education classroom. The goal of the scholarship is to broaden the experiences of pre-service teachers in order to help them develop an understanding and clarity regarding the educational needs of individuals with disabilities and their families.  The deadline for the next application cycle is April 30, 2010.   See Guidelines and Application

Scholarship Guidelines

The Up Side of Downs of Greater Cleveland is offering a $1000.00 renewable scholarship to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a resident of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Portage, Medina, Lorain or Summit Counties
  • Must have a 3.3 grade point average or better from high school, include transcript
  • Must be majoring in education (K-12) and may be required to show evidence to support
  • Must provide a transcript at the end of each year
  • Must attend a four-year college in Ohio, an acceptance letter must be submitted
  • Must attend two Up Side of Down's meetings or functions per year
  • Must be available for interview
